The mniramp in Lohof was pretty much amazing. But during the session it had at least 40 degree celsius – way too hot to skate. I had the sunburn of the year – twice. Anyway I ended up taking the win right in front of my friend Mo. Nico took the 3rd and even more suprpising was michis 4th place. South germany bitches

A Grindhouse View On Winterclash 2012
Here we go again, after finally accepting that sleep is absolutely overrated I finished the WC edit.
Its always difficult to find the balance between filming and skating during the clash – thus thanks maik for helping out with the filming.
Winterclash 2012 was awesome/horrible/great.
Lots of awesome skting going on + had enough time for some own little sessions but = great.
Lots of people and no place to lock my camera equipment = “will it still be where I left it when I come back?”
Winter = cold – and I mean COLD – It was a bit cold from time to time but thats just how winter is…
But the best part about the clash is meeting all those awesome guys like jonko, albert, …
anyway here is my winterclash 2012 edit. Its fast and dirty, just like the clash, hardly enough time to see the trick but never enough to understand it before the next hammer is thrown your diriction.
Some words about recovery & the wrs competion
As some might now, in april I had an accident and messed up my shoulder really bad. Doctor said I might lose about 30 degree mobility. All the ligaments have been torn and during the surgery he wasnt able to restore them. I also had some torn sinews, muscles, a blasted joint and some more stuff. For 2 months + I wasnt allowed to move my arm…
Since then Ive started working on my shoulder & arm basically every day. Today it feels quite ok. It still hurts during certain movements but for the most part I can use it like I used to. Though I have to take care not to fall on it cause it might dislocate really fast without the ligaments. Anyway I didnt lose any mobility which Im really glad about.

When I found out about the wrs uploaded competition I just started getting back into skating, mostly curbs and small stuff. Anyway I decided to try and come up with an edit and heres the result.

Winterclash 2011
At the moment im chilling in my Hotel in Amsterdam.
The winterclash 2011 edit is finished & uploaded.
The whole idea of “making an winterclash edit” was semi clever. The filming turned out to be extremely difficult with 200 other filmers + several MILLION spectators in the park during the runs.
Also the light wasnt really “perfect” – iso xxxx. The editing on my too old laptop was even worse – took me 3 hours just to export the final result. And last but not least – the 10 euro a day internetconnection my hotel offers didnt help either.
Anyway – Check the edit and if you feel like, drop me a line so know what youre thinking.
